Ever since I was a young girl I have loved making, especially stitching.

I caught the quilting "bug" when my children were small and completed a City & Guilds Diploma in Patchwork and Quilting in 2006.

I became a member of the Ten Plus Textiles group, exhibiting with them in galleries and shows throughout the North of England.

My pieces incorporate a variety of techniques, including patchwork, applique, quilting, hand and machine stitching, printing, needle felting and mixed media techniques. I enjoy combining contemporary digital print with more traditional techniques.

Inspiration comes from the places that I love, including cities, canals, beaches and particularly the Isle of Skye. I am fascinated by creating  textured surfaces and curved, organic shapes. I am also interested in exploring text and graffiti. My husband’s many photos of torn posters and street art are a constant source of inspiration.

I produce quilted wallhangings of various sizes, larger quilts and both framed and unframed textile art.

I am happy to work to commission, so if you would like something special made in my style, please do not hesitate to contact me.
